I began my career in the automotive business in 1974 with Prolo Chevrolet, right here in Santa Cruz where from 1974 to 1985 I worked as a technician and service shop forman. From 1985 to 1996 I ascended to Parts & Service Director at Marina Motor Company. In 1996 I moved in to an ownership position at Portola Motors Pontiac-Buick-Cadillac-GMC and in 2001 became part owner of Marty Franich Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge.

Now owner of my own automobile dealership, I am looking forward to dedicating my experience to serving my Santa Cruz neighbors with the best auto-buying experience possible.

I am a 4th generation automomobile business professional now working my 7th year in the automotive retail industry. I started in 2004 as a salesperson at Gilroy Honda where I quickly earned a promotion to Used Car Manager. In 2006 I began a 4 year tenure as Used Car Manager at Marty Franich Chrysler where I helped the dealership set several records for sales and customer service.

My objective is to now apply my knowledge and experience to helping make Santa Cruz Motors the very best place for you to buy your next automobile.

I began my career in the auto industry in 1991 selling cars for many years since. Moving up through the ranks, I have held almost every position found in an automobile dealership. I now look forward to working with our friends from Santa Cruz where I have lived for most of my life.

I have been active in the Santa Cruz automotive marketplace for over 35 years now. My father and I started Stengl Motors in 1970 on Center Street, right here in Santa Cruz. In 1982 we purchased Marina Pontiac & Cadillac, which moved to the Capitola Auto Center in 1986 and became Marina Pontiac-Buick-Cadillac-GMC.

Today I'm proud to be a part of the new Santa Cruz Motors. Working with Mike and Travis to make this dealership a success and long-term Santa Cruz tradition.
